Service & Calibration

Periodical servicing and calibration of balancing machines is very important if machines are to continue providing optimal productivity, accuracy and reliability, as well as being a Quality and ISO requirement. To maximum the operational life and uptime of balancing machines, Universal Balancing recommend that one of their trained engineers carry out servicing and calibration every 3-12 months, depending on the extent of usage and production environment.

Servicing and calibration can be arranged as and when required. To minimise the balancing machine downtime experienced when the work is being carried out, appointments can be scheduled months in advance to coincide with shutdown periods, or alternatively an out-of-hours service is available – reducing disruption to productivity during normal operational hours.

As part of the service ISO2953 tests are carried out which include unbalance reduction ratio and UMAR tests and where applicable MU and gauge R&R. In addition an inspection of the machine mechanics and electronics is carried out and if potential problems are identified, this will be reported so that preventative maintenance can be arranged.

Once servicing and calibration is completed, you will be provided with an electronic calibration certificate and copy test results. You will also be provided with a paper copy of the site report detailing the work undertaken, parts used and any recommended preventative maintenance required.
